Prior to founding Thousand, I, the company's founder Gloria Hwang, was a longtime cyclist who never wore a helmet. This changed when I tragically lost a friend in a fatal bike crash. Determined to improve cycling safety, I set out to design a helmet people would actually want to wear, rather than settling for the "sci-fi" looking options on the market.

We named our company "Thousand" with the goal of helping save 1,000 lives by creating helmets that people are excited to use. This number serves as a daily reminder of our purpose.

FIT AND SIZING

Every head is unique, but our integrated dial fit system allows you to make minor adjustments for a personalized fit. Simply turn the dial clockwise to tighten or counterclockwise to loosen. You can also remove some or all of the interior pads without compromising safety.
